Casting jewelry is a process called centrifugal jewelry casting, beginning with a wax pattern, which is placed inside plaster, melted out of the mold to form a cavity and then the mold is filled with the gold to form a piece of jewelry. See the jewelry casting process with a demonstration from a bench jeweler and gemologist in this free video on jewelry. man… im really feeling i want to learn alot of this stuff…
I’ve read that it’s not safe to cast using scrap jewelry. because reusing materials makes the new jewelry much weaker & prone to cracking.
What if I only use .925 Sterling as scrap jewelry as my materials for casting new jewelry? Is it safe?
What is that “specific ratio” you talked about?
For 18kt gold?
For 14kt gold?
For silver?
I would like to know how you actually make the wax moulding for the casting. I have a ram head ring thats about 80g, and a skull thats about 24g, I am very curious as to how they cast a ram head.
thanks
nice and very useful ,,,,,make another video pls
